Reconciling Bank and Credit Card Statements
You have
been taught that upon starting the bank reconciliation that the beginning balance shown in QuickBooks should be the beginning
balance on your bank's statement. If this balance isn't the same, don't dispair! If reconciled transactions
were changed after they were reconciled, the beginning balance shown in QuickBooks may be different than that shown on your
bank's statement. Go ahead and start checking off deposits, payments, checks, and charges which have cleared,
and you may find the reconciliation balances perfectly.

Accessing Different QuickBooks Data Files When you have more
than one QuickBooks data file and you want to go from one to another, the best way to open one of the other files is
to click File on the Menu Bar; then click Previous Company. The last two or three QuickBooks data files, together with
their locations on the computer are at the top of the list. Simply click to select the one you want to work with.
